Account & Profile

Go to the Profile tab and tap Edit next to your photos. You can add up to 6 photos, set any as your main photo, or delete existing ones. Your main photo is the one other people see first in the discovery feed.
Open the Profile tab, then tap Edit next to the section you'd like to change — About Me, Interests, or Looking For. Tap Save when done. Changes appear to other users immediately.
Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, photos, matches, and messages. This cannot be undone. If you'd prefer a break rather than deletion, you can pause your account instead — your profile simply won't appear in discovery until you reactivate it.
Try these steps in order: (1) Check you're using the correct email address. (2) Use the Forgot Password link on the login screen — we'll send you a reset link. (3) Check your spam folder. (4) If you signed up with a phone number, make sure you're entering it with the correct country code. Still stuck? Email us and we'll sort it out.
Go to Settings → Travel → Home Base. You can pin your home base to any address — this is the origin point used to calculate commute times to other users. Your exact address is never visible to matches; only approximate commute times are shown.

Matching & Discovery

Instead of straight-line ("crow-flies") distance, Rovaro calculates your real travel time to each potential match using your chosen transport mode — driving, walking, cycling, or public transit. You set a maximum commute time (e.g. 30 minutes) and only people within that travel time appear in your feed. Each profile shows the exact commute time so you know before you swipe.
Go to Settings → Travel → Transport Mode and choose between Driving, Walking, Cycling, or Transit. Your discovery feed refreshes automatically. You can switch modes any time — useful if you walk to work but would drive to a date.
This usually means you've seen everyone within your current distance and preference settings. Try increasing your Max commute time in Settings → Travel, or broadening your age range and gender preferences in Settings → Preferences. New users join Rovaro daily, so checking back the next day often reveals fresh profiles.
Yes — Rovaro Pro includes the Rewind feature. Tap the undo arrow button immediately after a swipe to take it back. You can rewind the most recent swipe once per session. Free users cannot rewind swipes.
A Superlike lets someone know you're especially interested — they'll see a gold star on your profile in their feed. Free users get 1 Superlike per day. Pro users get 5 per day. Additional Superlike packs can also be purchased in-app. To use a Superlike, swipe up on a profile or tap the star icon.

Messages & Matches

Messaging on Rovaro requires a mutual match — both of you must have liked each other first. If you can see someone's profile but there's no message button, you haven't matched yet. Keep swiping! Pro users can also attach a message when they like someone, which can make it easier to start a conversation.
Check your internet connection first. If you're online but messages still fail: (1) Force-quit and reopen the app. (2) Check if the other person has unmatched or deleted their account — the conversation will be greyed out in that case. (3) If neither applies, contact us with details and we'll investigate.
Matches disappear when the other person unmatches you or deletes their account. Unfortunately we can't restore these conversations. If you believe it was removed in error, get in touch.
Open the conversation, tap the (more) icon in the top-right corner, then tap Unmatch. This removes the match and the conversation for both of you immediately. You can also block and report a user from this menu if needed.

Safety

On any profile in the discovery feed, tap the icon in the top-left corner to report or block. In a conversation, tap in the top-right corner. Blocking removes the person from your feed and prevents them from messaging you. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team, typically within 24 hours.
Date Check-in lets you nominate a trusted contact before a date. If you don't check in by a time you set, Rovaro will alert your contact. You can access it from the Safety tab. We strongly recommend using it when meeting someone for the first time.
Rovaro offers selfie verification — you take a short selfie and our system confirms it matches your profile photos. Verified profiles display a green checkmark. ID verification (via our partner) is optional and provides a higher level of trust. Neither process stores your ID document on Rovaro's servers.
Please report it immediately using the in-app report button on the profile or conversation. You can also email us at safety@rovaro.app with a description. Serious violations (harassment, explicit content involving minors, threats) are escalated immediately and may be reported to relevant authorities.

Rovaro Pro & Billing

Rovaro Pro includes: unlimited swipes, 5 superlikes per day, the ability to see who liked you, rewind last swipe, message with likes, profile boosts, and an extended maximum commute radius. Pro is available as a monthly, 3-month, or annual subscription — the annual plan offers the best value.
Subscriptions are managed by Apple (iOS) or Google (Android), not Rovaro directly.

iOS: Open Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Rovaro → Cancel Subscription.
Android: Open the Play Store → Menu → Subscriptions → Rovaro → Cancel.

Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date to avoid being charged for the next period. Your Pro features remain active until the end of the paid period.
First, try tapping Restore Purchases on the paywall screen inside Rovaro. This usually resolves it. If your Pro status still doesn't appear after a few minutes, force-quit and reopen the app. Still not working? Email support@rovaro.app with your Apple/Google order number and we'll get it sorted.
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google, not Rovaro. To request a refund:

iOS: Visit reportaproblem.apple.com and select your Rovaro purchase.
Android: Open the Play Store → Order History → select your purchase → Request a refund.

We're unable to process refunds directly, but we're happy to help resolve any billing issues — contact us.

Technical Issues

Try these steps: (1) Force-quit the app and reopen it. (2) Check for updates in the App Store / Play Store and install any available update. (3) Restart your phone. (4) Uninstall and reinstall Rovaro — your account and data will be preserved. If crashes continue, please email us with your device model and iOS/Android version.
Check that notifications are enabled for Rovaro in your phone's Settings app (Settings → Notifications → Rovaro on iOS; Settings → Apps → Rovaro → Notifications on Android). Also check that Do Not Disturb isn't on. Inside Rovaro, go to Settings → Notifications to confirm notification preferences are turned on. If everything looks correct but you're still not receiving them, try logging out and back in.
Rovaro uses your Home Base location (set in Settings) rather than your live GPS to calculate commute times — so commute distances won't change as you move around day to day. If your Home Base is set incorrectly, update it in Settings → Travel → Home Base. If commute times still look wrong after updating, please contact us.
For loading issues: check your internet connection and try switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data. For upload failures: ensure Rovaro has photo library access (Settings → Privacy → Photos → Rovaro → Full Access). Photos must be under 20 MB. If you receive a specific error message, include it when you contact us.
