1. Introduction

Rovaro LLC ("Rovaro", "we", "us", or "our") operates the Rovaro mobile

application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose,

and safeguard your information when you use our app. By using Rovaro, you

agree to the practices described in this policy.

If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not

use the app.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Account information: name, email address, date of birth, gender, and

password

  • Profile information: photos, bio, interests, relationship

preferences, and location (city)

  • Communications: messages you send to other users through the app
  • Payment information: processed securely through Apple App Store or

Google Play — we do not store payment card details

  • Support communications: information you provide when contacting us

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device information: device type, operating system, and unique device

identifiers

  • Usage data: features used, swipe activity, and session duration
  • Log data: IP address, app crashes, and performance data
  • Push notification tokens: to deliver match and message notifications

2.3 Location Information

We collect your city-level location during onboarding to calculate

drive-time based matching. We do not continuously track your precise GPS

location. You may update your city at any time in your profile settings.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Power our drive-time based matching algorithm
  • Display your profile to other users
  • Deliver push notifications for matches and messages
  • Process subscription payments through Apple or Google
  • Moderate content and enforce our Community Guidelines
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and safety incidents
  • Improve the app through analytics and performance monitoring
  • Respond to your support requests
  • Comply with legal obligations

4. How We Share Your Information

4.1 With Other Users

Your profile information — including photos, display name, age, city,

bio, and interests — is visible to other users in the app. Your email

address and precise location are never shared with other users.

4.2 Service Providers

We share information with third-party service providers who assist us in

operating the app:

  • Supabase: database and authentication infrastructure
  • RevenueCat: subscription management
  • Apple / Google: payment processing and app distribution
  • Anthropic: AI-powered photo moderation
  • OpenRouteService: drive-time calculation

These providers are contractually obligated to use your information only

to provide services to us and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

4.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or

governmental authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to

protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

4.4 Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of

Rovaro LLC's assets, your information may be transferred as part of that

transaction. We will notify you via in-app notification or email before

your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different

privacy policy.

4.5 No Sale of Personal Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third

parties for their marketing purposes.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is

active or as needed to provide you with our services. You may delete

your account at any time through Settings > Delete Account. Upon

deletion, we will:

  • Remove your profile and photos from our systems within 30 days
  • Delete your messages and match history
  • Retain certain information as required by law or legitimate business

interests (e.g., records of abuse reports)

6. Your Rights and Choices

6.1 Access and Correction

You may access and update your profile information at any time through

the app. If you need help correcting inaccurate information, contact us

at legal@rovaro.app.

6.2 Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time through Settings > Delete

Account. This will permanently remove your profile, photos, matches, and

messages.

6.3 Push Notifications

You may disable push notifications at any time through your device

settings.

6.4 California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to: know what

personal information we collect; request deletion of your personal

information; opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell

personal information); and non-discrimination for exercising your

rights. To exercise these rights, contact us at legal@rovaro.app.

6.5 European Residents (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have additional

rights including the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or

object to processing of your personal data, and the right to data

portability. Our legal basis for processing is your consent (for profile

data and matching) and legitimate interests (for safety and fraud

prevention). To exercise your rights, contact us at legal@rovaro.app.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your

information, including encrypted data transmission (TLS), secure

authentication, and role-based access controls on our database. However,

no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we

cannot guarantee absolute security.

If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us

immediately at legal@rovaro.app.

8. Children's Privacy

Rovaro is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly

collect personal information from minors. If we learn that we have

collected information from a user under 18, we will delete that

information promptly. If you believe we have inadvertently collected

information from a minor, please contact us at legal@rovaro.app.

9. Third-Party Links and Services

The app may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are

not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We

encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any

information to them.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you

of material changes by posting the new policy in the app and updating

the "Last updated" date at the top of this document. Your continued use

of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the

updated policy.
